Liverpool are now favourites to sign Adam Johnson.

The England international is out of favour at Manchester City, who are prepared to let him leave for a fee of around £10million this summer.

A number of clubs, including Everton and Sunderland, have been linked with the winger, but it is believed Liverpool are leading the race for his signature.

Brendan Rodgers believes the 25-year-old would fit in perfectly with his future plans for the Anfield club, and could strike a deal before the two clubs meet on Sunday.
