Adrian Lopez has emerged as a January target for Arsenal.

Despite signing both Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski during the summer, Arsene Wenger still feels he needs a long-term replacement for Robin van Persie.

The Dutch international scored 30 times in the Premier League last season, but his refusal to sign a new contract led to him joining rivals Manchester United in the summer.

Wenger has reportedly set his sights on bidding for Adrian when the window reopens in the New Year, after having the Spaniard watched on a number of occasions.

Although the 24-year-old has yet to score for the La Liga side this season, he is rated as one of the brightest talents in his homeland and would cost around £17million.
