Lazio are plotting a move for Andrey Arshavin.
The Russian international joined Arsenal in January 2010 from Zenit St Petersburg, and he made an immediate impact in the Premier League.
However, he has failed to find anything like his best form in recent times, and he spent last season on loan at his former club who decided against taking him permanently.
Arshavin has made just six appearances in the Premier League this term, all from the bench, and his contract is set to expire at the end of the campaign.
Arsene Wenger is prepared to let the 31-year-old playmaker leave this month, and reports in Italy claim Lazio are set to table an offer of £3million for his signature.
