West Bromwich Albion Football Club desperately missed Abdoulaye Meite on Sunday.

The defender was injured in the warm-up ahead of the home game with Aston Villa, and Tony Mowbray feels he could have made a difference as the Baggies went down 2-1.

"We had a blow before kick-off with Meite injured before the kick-off and we've got to have our best players on the pitch," he told Sky Sports News. "Meite would have made a difference in those goals.

"I'm sure we'll be alright. No one's turned us over with a lot of goals. We need to cut out those silly schoolboy errors and once we do that we'll be fine."
