Scott Carson will stay at West Bromwich Albion Football Club even if they are relegated.

The England ace only joined the Baggies in the summer, and he insists he will not jump ship if the Hawthorns club lose their top-flight status.

"I accepted it may happen," Carson told the Express and Star. "I signed for the long haul, not just for short term. It goes through your head that you may not remain in the Premier League.

“It always goes through your head that you don't know how a newly promoted club will perform.

"It's always difficult for clubs to establish themselves in the Premier League.

"But we still have a great chance of survival if we keep playing as we have. I just hope we can stay up."
