Bolton Wanderers Football Club have ended their interest in Joey Barton.

After Newcastle United rejected an offer in the region of £2million for Barton, Gary Megson has revealed he has ended his interest in the controversial midfielder.

"We move on. Joey is a good player and a former England international,” said Megson. "But he has certainly had his problems. There is an amount we would go to and that's it.

“We would not go any further."
