Benjani poised for Portsmouth return?
Benjani has been linked with a return to Portsmouth Football Club.
The Zimbabwean international was a popular figure at Fratton Park during his two-year stay on the South Coast, before his move to Manchester City last January.
Benjani has struggled to make an impact at Eastlands and could be a target for Pompey, whose manager Tony Adams is desperate for reinforcements after losing Jermain Defoe.
"I'd like some reinforcements,” Adams told Sky Sports. “We've let a centre-forward go to Tottenham Hotspur. It would be great if we could get another one in that department."
Although the Portsmouth manager has denied making an approach for Benjani, the 30-year-old is believed to be a possible loan swoop for the club.
