Blackburn Rovers Football Club have signed Nick Blackman for an undisclosed fee.

The little-known 19-year-old has made just one start for Macclesfield Town, but Sam Allardyce has swooped to make him his first signing as Rovers manager.

"Nick has a wonderful opportunity and given he wasn't guaranteed a first-team place at the Moss Rose this season, it would have been wrong to stand in his way," Macc boss Keith Alexander told the club's official website.
