Striker could save Newcastle United £millions!
Andy Carroll will be hoping for a run in the Newcastle United Football Club side.
The 20-year-old has been a regular goalscorer for the Magpies reserves, but it has taken him a little time to force his way into the first team picture at St James Park.
In his first start for United this season Carroll bagged a late equaliser against West Ham United, and he now hopes for an extended run in the side.
"That is something I will cherish for all my life and something I have dreamed of since I was a little boy," he said in The Sun. "Hopefully that's not it, I'd love to get a few more.
“It was the best feeling in the world. I grew up watching Alan Shearer. I had a season ticket to watch him and he was just scoring goal after goal. Alan was brilliant to watch as a kid and before he retired I had a training session with him, that was unbelievable."
