Wigan boss wants Spurs to restructure Palacios deal
03:15 PM 19 January, 2009
Tottenham could miss out on Wilson Palacios if they propose to pay Wigan on the 'never never'.

Spurs want to pay the £14m transfer over 4 years, an arrangement which has not pleased Wigan boss Steve Bruce.

"Anyone who has watched Wilson for the last six months will know what they are getting," said the Wigan boss in the Daily Star.

"The size of the fee, I believe, has been agreed.

"But in terms of the payment, Mr Levy [the Spurs chairman] wants it over something like 55 years!"

Quite right David Michaels. if we need the player, act like a big club, pay the price and get him. It's about football, not finance - and think how much the club would lose if Spurs are relegated.

Levy, I am sick and tired of him trying to deal like this. We obviously need the player, so go and GET him before someone like scum City do. All you hear is that my beloved Tottenham want someone but want to spread payments over such silly times. Also GET Palacios before the same rthing happens. If you haven't got the money then forget about it. I am now at a stage when my support over 64 years is beginning to wain.
