Zola sends Bellamy packing with best wishes
10:30 AM 20 January, 2009
Gianfranco Zola has wished Craig Bellamy all the best at Manchester City Football Club.

The West Ham United coach was speaking after he sold the striker to the Blues for £14million, and he has sent the Welshman packing with the best of wishes.

"I wish him all the best and I hope he does well and finds what he is looking for. I am very happy with what he has done for me and now he has decided to go somewhere else," he told the club's official website.

"We wanted to keep him but he wanted a new challenge and we respect that. For our fans, I can say again that we want to achieve a high level so we are looking for players that can help us make that happen."

Get your facts right mate, in 212 games spanning 5 teams Bellemy scored 87 goals. Wayne Rooney has only scored 74 in 212 games. Perhaps it's not so stupid after all.

Great business for West Ham, I now hope the board give zola the money to buy new players with as he already knows who he wants. I cant help thinking though Man City signing Bellamy cost you the signing of Kaka and losing Robinho!!

What are Man City playing at, £14M for a 30 year old striker who can't score in a brothel. Bellamy has the worst goals to games record of any striker in the premiership bar Alan Smith, He has a world class attitude problem and is coming to the end of his career. More worryingly for City though, he has also failed at every big club he has played for. WHAT A STUPID BUY that is
