Palacios can become Tottenham Hotspur great

Harry Redknapp is delighted to have Wilson Palacios at Tottenham Hotspur.

The Londoners have completed the £14million signing of the midfielder from Wigan Athletic, and Redknapp is confident the Honduran can be a huge asset at White Hart Lane.

"We need to improve the squad and that is why I was interested in Palacios," he said. "He will come in here and get after it and play aggressively. He will work and close and run.

“I feel that we need a bit of that around the place. Palacios is a player I have liked since I first saw him, and he has the ability to go on to become a top, top player.

"I just like the way he plays. He is an all-round modern midfielder - he gets after it, he is box-to-box. No-one has had an easy game against him. He is after you all the time."

Stuart - are you mad! Pav a world class finisher. His miss at 0-2 was shocking, just as bad as bent's on Sunday. lean back and sliced it - £14m! ffs. I have never seen a slower player for us - slow in everything, pace, thought, effort, learning the language.

by the sounds of it we need 10 of him because we have no heart and no passion!!! its disgraceful. Havent seen too much of him, what i have looks pretty good but is he worth £14m? was Bentley worth £15m? was Pav worth £14m? was Bale worth £10m? we seem to spend a lot of money on people who have 'the ability' to be really good for the club but have a hard time producing. We shall wait and see.....
