Free agent Brazilian midfielder Mineiro is being linked with the Gunners.

The 33-year-old, a member of the Brazil squad at the 2006 World Cup, is looking for a new club after leaving Hertha Berlin of the Bundesliga.

Reports linking him with a move to the Emirates Stadium come after another free agent, Ghana's Stephen Appiah, was ruled out as a target by Arsene Wenger.
