Peter Lovenkrands hopes to make his Premier League debut at Manchester City.

The former Rangers winger has signed a short-term contract with Newcastle United until the end of the season, and he hopes to feature at Eastlands on Wednesday night.

"I'm delighted to sign a deal until the end of the season," Lovenkrands told the club's official website. "I now just can't wait for my debut at Manchester City next week."

The 28-year-old Lovenkrands scored 54 goals in 183 games during his time in Scotland before moving to Schalke in Germany, and he also has 21 caps for Denmark.
