Ryan Giggs will be offered a new contract at Manchester United Football Club.

The 35-year-old has hinted he may retire when his present deal expires in the summer, but manager Sir Alex Ferguson clearly has other ideas.

"Ryan will be offered a new contract of course. He has been fantastic for us this season - he seems to be getting even better with age,” Ferguson said in the Sunday Mirror.

"He could win the Footballer of the Year award. He seems to be one of those rare people who find that age and injuries don't catch up with them."
