Paul Jewell is happy to allow Robbie Savage to leave Pride Park on loan.

He told BBC Radio Derby: "Robbie's agent asked if he can go out on loan and we said 'Yes'."

"The first thing people will think about is Robbie's wages but we're quite happy to help things happen if that's what Robbie wants."

The 33-year-old moved to Derby from Blackburn in January but failed to halt the slide towards relegation and was then ordered to buck up his performances in pre-season.

"Robbie wasn't happy about not being first choice and I wasn't happy with the way he reacted in training," said Jewell at the beginning of August.

"He's like any other player if you don't want to do your best in training then you won't be considered."
