Sheffield Wednesday have signed defender Lewis Buxton from Stoke City.

The 25-year old signs a two-and-a-half year deal and for a nominal fee. He has recently been on loan at Hillsborough from Stoke.

Manager Brian Laws told BBC Radio Sheffield, "We've signed him for the next two seasons, so we're delighted."

"He's at a really good age, I've got a good player and an energetic player who can play as well."
