Kanu still believes he has much to offer Portsmouth Football Club.
As the Nigerian edges closer to full fitness following an injury lay-off, he has told Pompey he can still play a role for the club despite being behind Peter Crouch and Jermain Defoe in the pecking order.
"It's always difficult when you are injured and trying to get back but the knee is okay now,” Kanu told The News. "I've been training twice a day and played for the reserves.
“Everything is going as planned now and I think I am ready to go. It's been frustrating because every player wants to be on that pitch but an injury is an injury. You can't do anything about it.
"I will give 100 per cent every time. I must get back into the first-team now I am fit and I hope I will be there. I've got more to offer for this club and it is not yet finished."
