Real Madrid are determined to lure Luis Antonio Valencia to Spain this month, and are prepared to make Wigan Athletic Football Club a tempting offer.

After losing Wilson Palacios to Tottenham Hotspur and Emile Heskey to Aston Villa this month, Latics manager Steve Bruce has promised fans there will be no more big-money departures this season.

However, speculation continues to grow over the future of Ecuadorian international Valencia, who has been the subject of interest from Chelsea and the two big Manchester clubs, as well as Real.

It is being suggested in Spain that the Bernabeu club are eager to land the 23-year-old Valencia, and will offer the Premier League side £15million plus Argentine international Saviola.

The 27-year-old forward has failed to spark at Real since his free transfer move from Barcelona in 2007, and the current La Liga champions are willing to offload him during the transfer window.
