Striker Brett Ormerod, 32, has left Preston after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.
Ormerod has endured an injury-plagued spell at the lub, making just 41 appearances for the club.
He spent time on loan at Oldham Athletic making five appearances, but was forced to return to Preston earlier than planned after sustaining a broken toe.
