Diouf plays down row with Sunderland defender
El-Hadji Diouf has played down his row with Sunderland Football Club’s Anton Ferdinand.
The Senegal striker left the Black Cats for Blackburn Rovers last week amidst reports of a bust-up with Ferdinand, but he has moved to play down the seriousness of the spat.
"Anton is my man, he just made me mad for one day - that's it. He knows that I don't like it when someone gives me a headache, everybody knows my character," Diouf told The Sun.
"If there is something wrong with the team then I want to tell everybody. But it's finished, Anton is a good man. I have spoken to him since and I don't have an issue with him.
"I don't regret what I said, I don't regret anything. It's just that he told me something while I was talking to the gaffer and it was not the right time to do that.
"It is gone, it is finished now. I'm very happy because I've signed for a good club like Blackburn. I want to be someone who gives everything to the club so that we stay in the Premier League.
"The row with Anton is now over. He used to come to my house to eat, drink, everything. I used to go to his house, play pool and everything. Me and Anton never had any problems.
“It's just when I'm mad I had a problem with him."
