Bosingwa makes Liverpool apology
11:48 AM 02 February, 2009
Jose Bosingwa has apologised to Liverpool Football Club’s Yossi Benayoun.

The Chelsea fullback kicked the Israel international in the back as he shielded the ball in the corner during the Reds 2-0 win over the Blues on Sunday.

Amazingly, Bosingwa avoided punishment from Mike Riley for the incident, and he has now apologised for the action which could be included in the referee’s report.

"I apologise for what I did and it was never my intention to hurt him," Bosingwa told the club's official website. "I know it was wrong and I apologise."
