Wolves complete Berra signing

Wolves have finalised a deal for Hearts defender Christophe Berra.

The Hearts skipper moves on a four-and-a half year deal. The 24-year old signs for an undisclosed fee, Wolves having an earlier reported 2 million pound rejected in late January.

He began his career at Hearts, having been born in Edinburgh and has made 122 appearances for the club.

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy told the club's official website, "I'm delighted because Christophe who will be a really good addition to the squad."

"He's 6ft 3in, left footed with a bit of pace and a good defender who reads the ball well and is good in the air.

"He was the captain of Hearts and is an ambitious lad who's in the Scotland squad at the moment and will be driven in wanting to get to the Premier League."
