Pompey send Dos Santos back to Spurs
03:36 PM 02 February, 2009
Giovanni Dos Santos won't be joining Pompey after all.

Portsmouth boss Tony Adams wants fully match fit players at Fratton Park and the Mexico international has not had enough minutes on the pitch this season to achieve that.

It seems strange that a medical was required to ascertain that, given that it's public knowledge that Dos Santos has featured in few games this season.

Dos Santos should stay at Spurs, look at what Spurs have done, get rid of their old players i.e Defoe, Chimbonda, and now Keane, go belly up and want their old players back, fair is fair u can't keep every player but Dos Santos has been injured and when the time is right, he will come right.

I'm glad he hasn't moved, and fuck off jose, he is still a quality young player but our manager hasn't seen that yet. With quaresma on his way to spurs he will find it even harder to break into the team, but it's still a challenge worth taking. on another note, with quaresma moving we finally have a naturual left mid. Can't wait to play arse.

yer i suppose so please explain why your near the bottom like us if were millions of miles apart. With the players weve got we should not be near the bottom but we have a donkey of a manager. Defoe and redknapp came for the money thats all they care about no passion. your club has no passion!!

This is a star who played alongside ronaldinho and was heralded as his successor at his arrival. tottenham takes quality young players and makes them shit. (prince boateng, and a bunch of others now on loan or transferred) Arsenal and ManU take young players and make stars.Commoli was at Arsenal before tottenham and look at the young guns talent. But when he brought similar players to tottenham the club or whatever made them shit.

jtpfc23, it takes alot more to get into a tottenham side than a pompey 1, Spurs have quality everywhere, which is why Defoe & Redknapp came running, and why others such as Chimbonda and Keane are also returning! Wouldn't go to Pompey to be Campbells fag hag if you doubled my salary!

Harry's a bag of wind? You all loved him last season! I personally didn't think Redknapp was the man for the job when he first left you for Spurs but to say that after so many good seasons at Fratton seems strange to me. Either way you don't know how much of a good deal you were getting with Dos Santos for £7m... He is un-doubtedly a class act and given time and perceverance, he will become one of the best around. I wouldn't blame the lad for wanting to leave as the main reason he came to Spurs was he wasn't getting regular first team football at Barca and he was promissed that by Ramos. Things didn't quite pan out for him and he had an operation his knee very early in the season and has been out since. He has just recovered from that and came on as a sub last week and looked dangerous. Harry will see upon closer inspection that this lad is worth keeping hold of.

It would have been ok. You could have just brought him back for double the fee we pay. Isnt that how harry works :o) Just wait till the end of the season when he says ' I saved the club' The cahirmans millions saved the club. Harry is a bag of wind who loves biggin himself up

I'm glad, i dont want to see him go as he is a great talent for the future. Dos Santos is arguably one of the best talents in europe and would be wasted playing under Adams (no offence to Pompey). If he went he would no doubt go on to be fantastic, at worst loan him out.
