Robbie Savage could be set for a surprise move back to Gresty Road.

The midfielder made just under 100 appearances for the Railwaymen between 1994 and 1997, earning himself a move to Leicester with his impressive displays.

Now the former Wales international is surplus to requirements at Derby and could be offered the chance to continue his playing career and also make the first steps into coaching with Crewe.
