Steve Bruce insists Antoine Sibierski can have a future at Wigan Athletic Football Club.

The French forward has been loaned out to Championship side Norwich City until January after falling down the pecking order at the JJB Stadium, but Bruce will continue to monitor his progress.

"Sibi wanted this move because he wanted to play, which is something I totally understand," Bruce told the Wigan Evening Post. "We have the option to bring him back in January.

“So no, it's not the end of the road here. When you get to the age Sibi is, players just want to play regularly, not sit on the bench every week, and it was his call to go and play at Norwich.

"I admire him for doing that. I have no problem with that decision. I'm sure Sibi will do well there and we'll have a look at his position again in the New Year when this loan is coming to an end."
