Jenas backs Tottenham Hotspur new boy
07:30 PM 24 September, 2008
Jermaine Jenas is convinced Roman Pavlyuchenko will produce the goods for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, but also insists the striker needs time to adapt to life in England.

The Russian international was signed by the Londoners for around £14million prior to deadline day, and Jenas is backing the former Spartak Moscow man to shine at White Hart Lane.

"You have to remember Roman has had a long old season," said the midfielder. "He may need a bit of a rest here and there before we see the best of him and if that's the case we will take that.

"But I have seen enough of him, both to suggest he is going to be a fantastic player for Tottenham."
