Fernando Torres has hailed his Liverpool Football Club skipper.

Reds ace Steven Gerrard is currently out of action with a hamstring injury, and as much as Torres is eager to see him return, he has warned the midfielder not to rush back too soon.

"Stevie doesn't have a substitute at Liverpool," said the Spanish international. “It's his name first on the teamsheet then 10 others.

"Stevie is the lad every great side has - our leader, the one-club man. But I know from experience hamstring problems are risky.

“If you get one there's nothing you can do but let it repair."
