Ibrahima Sonko could be heading back to Reading Football Club.

The defender left the Royals for Stoke City in the summer, but he has struggled to make his mark for the Premier League side.

Sonko has made just six top-flight starts for the Potters since the £2million move, and he could now be heading back to the Madejski Stadium.

Steve Coppell has been rocked by an injury to Ivar Ingimarsson which will keep him out of the season, and he wants his former player back.
