Blackburn Rovers Football Club are keen on Olivier Kapo.

The Frenchman left Birmingham City to be reunited with Steve Bruce at Wigan Athletic in the summer, for a fee of £3.5million.

However, Kapo has made just seven starts for the Latics this season, and Sam Allardyce is believed to be weighing up a £2mllion summer bid.

Bruce, though, insists the 28-year-old former Juventus ace has a future at the JJB Stadium, and has asked him to show a little patience.

"I think Olivier is as disappointed as everyone else about the way things have gone here,” he said. "It hasn't happened for him here but I haven't given up.

"I know a section of the crowd have turned against him a little bit because of the way he plays and the style he has. We haven't seen anything of him yet.

"Most Wigan supporters haven't seen him play well. But you don't play where he has and get 10 caps for France if you don't have any ability."
