Dawson: Manchester United are beatable
Michael Dawson is confident Tottenham Hotspur Football Club can win the Carling Cup again this season.
The holders face Manchester United in the Wembley final on March 1, with the Reds setting the pace in the Premier League yet again.
United lead the table by five points, are in the FA Cup quarter-final and also in the last sixteen of the UEFA Champions League.
The champions have gone 14 games without conceding a goal, and the Fifa World Club Cup and Community Shield have already been won this season.
So it is hardly a surprise to hear they are strong favourites to win the Carling Cup, but Dawson isn’t writing his Spurs side off so readily.
"We've played United twice this season and the 0-0 draw at White Hart Lane in December was a terrific battle," he told Metro.
"We then went 1-0 up in the FA Cup clash at Old Trafford but were unhappy to concede two goals and bow out.
"The Carling Cup final is a one-off and although we have lacked consistency this season we've played well against the top teams and know we will be difficult to beat if we produce our best form at Wembley."
