Ramos relieved with Liverpool’s shock Keane decision
As surprised as he is that Liverpool Football Club so readily sold Robbie Keane, Juande Ramos admits it has helped Real Madrid’s cause.
Ramos was in charge of Tottenham Hotspur when they sold Keane to the Reds for £20million, yet the player was surprisingly sold back to Spurs in January.
Whilst this came as a shock to the Real coach, he is relieved he won’t have to consider the Irishman’s threat in the forthcoming UEFA Champions League tie.
"You can't tell me Robbie will not score goals at a top club," Ramos told The Sun. "He is a top player and I don't think he did badly at Liverpool.
"He scored goals and showed he's a team player. He's definitely a match-winner and if he were still at Liverpool, I would be telling my defenders to watch for him.”
