Sunderland midfielder Jordan Henderson is hopeful of a longer loan spell at the Ricoh Arena.

Henderson has made five appearances since moving to the Ricoh Arena in January and, while his current deal is due to expire on Wednesday, a new agreement should be signed on Tuesday.

I'm extending my contract here until the end of the season so hopefully we can get that sorted soon," Henderson told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire.

"I'm over the moon playing first-team football for Coventry City who are flying at the minute."
