Mixu Paatelainen has made public his thoughts on the recent slump in form at Easter Road.

Speaking in the wake of a dismal defeat at Inverness, he said: "We had two big meetings with the players - one after the game and one on Monday - to make it clear what is expected.

"You are always disappointed when you lose but it was the way in which we lost to Inverness that hurt. Even now when I think about it I'm upset.

"They couldn't even get the basics right. If you can't pass the ball 10 yards in a straight line to your team-mate it's a big worry.

"The level of application by certain individuals shocked me."
