Fowler secures Blackburn Rovers deal
Robbie Fowler has secured a three-month contract at Blackburn Rovers Football Club.
The former Liverpool and England striker has been looking for a new club since leaving Cardiff City at the end of last season, and he has finally agreed a performance-related deal at Ewood Park.
"Robbie has signed his contract," Rovers manager Paul Ince told the club's official website. "It has been an ongoing situation for the last two or three months now.
“But I'm pleased that he has signed, he's a proven goalscorer. It was not long ago that he was banging in goals at Anfield, so it shows that he can still do it at this level. It is a three-month contract.
“If he does well and does the business then there is no reason why we can't extend that."
Fowler could be in the squad to face on Saturday for the visit of Arsenal, a side he enjoyed playing against during the prime of his career at Anfield.
