Confirmed: Parry IS leaving Liverpool
10:24 AM 27 February, 2009
Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry will leave his post at the end of this campaign.

After all the controversy sourrounding Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez's future, this news will be welcomed by fans who want the Spaniard to stay.

Alleged problems between Benitez and Parry have been well-documented and Parry's presence at Anfield may have been the reason why Rafa's contract talks have turned into something of saga.

The likelihood of Rafa signing a new deal seem to have moved a step closer now, but he will probably insist that the new chief executive is not be involved in transfer dealings.

Liverpool's commercial director, Ian Ayre, is among the front-runners to replace Parry.

thank god, parry has been causing loads of problems when it comes to transfers and such, just let rafa make the big signings, instead of the likes of keane coming here, when we could have silva and other top quality players
