On-loan Arsenal striker Rui Fonte is expected to find another lower division club if his loan spell at Crystal Palace is not extended.

The 18-year-old will remain at Crystal Palace until Tuesday 2nd March, but Eagles boss Neil Warnock wants to extend the loan spell until the end of the season.

Arsenal signed Fonte in 2006 from Sporting Lisbon for a fee that could rise to £5m depending on his Premiership appearances.

SPL club Hearts wanted Fonte at Tynecastle at the start of the New Year, but no deal materialised.
