Carson fears West Bromwich Albion drop
Scott Carson admits he fears for West Bromwich Albion Football Club.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper only joined the Baggies in the summer, and he is firmly involved in a relegation fight with his new club propping up the table.
Carson suffered the drop whilst on loan at Charlton Athletic in 2007, and he admits he fears he could experience the same this season.
"The season is similar to what I experienced at Charlton when they were relegated," he said. "I was on loan but it was not nice.
"It is hard to explain as it was my first season in the Premier League so I gained a lot of confidence as I was making saves every match.
"I was voted Player of the Season so personally it was good for me but not for Charlton. Obviously I would have preferred to have avoided relegation.
“All the money is now in the Premier League and that is why it is so important for clubs to stay in the top flight.
"I would like to think that I can put in some good performances between now and end of the season to help Albion stay up in the Premier League.
"If we can beat the teams around us then we have a good chance of finishing above them at the start of the season."
