Brentford extend lead at Griffin Park
Brentford extended their lead at the top of League Two on Saturday to four points with a 1-0 win over Bury.
The home side took the lead six minutes before the break through Marcus Bean. Any hope the visitors had of getting back into the match disappeared when Stephen Dawson was sent off in the second half.
Bees boss Andy Scott was delighted, "The only people who can beat us is us, and this league has a real ability to kick you in the teeth. But it's up to the others to catch us now. We have games coming thick and fast now, but that's how the lads want it, so they can secure promotion.
"And if we maintain this sort of form and confidence, there's no reason why we can't."
