Ryan Nelsen has called for Blackburn Rovers Football Club to show their consistency to secure a place in next season’s Premier League.

Rovers face a battle to avoid the drop this term, but Nelsen hopes they can follow Sunday’s 2-1 win at Hull City with another three points against Everton on Wednesday.

"A nice run would be welcome. If we can get points against Everton and Fulham, it would make a lot of teams around us very nervous," said the New Zealand defender.

"We've got the quality. It's going to be consistency that will get you out - and we have to put in consistent performances and continue to get points."
