Portsmouth ace can’t explain Adams axe
Peter Crouch admits he can’t put his finger on why things didn’t work out for Tony Adams at Portsmouth Football Club.
The former Arsenal skipper only replaced Harry Redknapp earlier this season, but a run of disappointing results led to his dismissal.
Paul Hart and Brian Kidd are now in charge, and whilst Crouch is happy with the duo, he remains at a loss as to why things didn’t work out for Adams.
"It is difficult to put your finger on reasons why (things did not work under Adams),” Crouch told Sky Sports. "We all enjoyed working under Tony Adams.
“But things didn't click, and it wasn't to be. But we are moving forward now, I think we all believe in the people we have got in charge.
“We need to make sure we get out of this position."
