Unhappy Shittu makes Bolton Wanderers pledge
Danny Shittu insists he wants to stay at Bolton Wanderers Football Club.
The defender has been linked with a move away from the Reebok Stadium, after failing to nail down a regular place in the side following his summer transfer.
Birmingham City were said to be close to signing him on loan in January, but the 28-year-old insists he still wants a future with Gary Megson’s side.
"I am not happy not playing because I am here to play,” he told the Bolton News. "I came here to play football and that is why I am still working hard every day.
“I want to make sure I get a chance to play. That was the plan when I came here. My plan is the same. I believe I have done well each time I have been given a chance.
"I have a lot of respect for this football club so I don't want to say anything right now. The important thing is that I am here now, and I believe I am doing my best.”
