Agbonlahor unfazed by Aston Villa jeers
04:30 PM 17 March, 2009
Gabriel Agbonlahor has shrugged off criticism from Aston Villa Football Club’s fans.

The striker was substituted during the 2-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, and the Villa fans reacted by cheering the decision to replace him.

Villa are in huge danger of missing out on their UEFA Champions League dream, and some supporters appear to blame Agbonlahor’s lack of goals for this.

"If you look at last season, it was the same then," he told the Express and Star. "The goals will come, they always do. I'm not worried at all to be honest.

"We have been unlucky the last few games. I think people forget the number of goals I have scored. It really doesn't bother me what people say."

The Villa fans weren't booing Gabby, they were booing MON's delayed decision to haul him off.

It's not fair to criticize Agbonlahor because he was one of their best player during the season. but sometimes a player will have some off days, but to jeer a player like Agbonlahor after his outstanding season is something not fair for the player. As the player say people sometimes forget what the player did.
