Scott Carson wants the nation to stop banging on about his England nightmare.

The West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper has played for his country since his crucial error against Croatia last year, which contributed to England failing to reach Euro 2008.

"To be honest I'm not really thinking about England," Carson told the Daily Mirror. "My main priority is just to play well for West Bromwich. If England come knocking then it must be because I'm playing well.

"Everybody keeps saying I am suffering a hangover and stuff like that. It was eight or 10 months ago. I want people just to let it go. I let it go the night after, but people just keep bringing it up."
