Oldham have signed keeper Shane Supple on loan until the end of the season.

The loan deal includes the play-offs if necessary and the 21-year old Eire native could his make his debut against Tranmere at Boundary Park on Saturday.

Royle told the club's official website: "I have always been very impressed with Shane and he was good for me when we worked together at Ipswich.

"He might not be the biggest of keepers but his spring makes him like a basketball player."
