Rangers swap deal & Pompey plunder for Spurs?
04:47 PM 23 March, 2009
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp may offload his injury-prone right back Alan Hutton back to Glasgow Rangers in a deal which will see Ibrox youngster Daniel Wilson arrive at White Hart Lane.

Scotland youth international Wilson has been described as a "cultured centre half" and is certainly one for the future, but one for now is England right back Glen Johnson.

Redknapp knows Johnson well from his last managerial spell at Fratton Park and it would surprise no-one if the Spurs boss plots another raid on Portsmouth (after landing Jermain Defoe in January).

We have loads and loads of right backs at the minute, and although Hutton has potential, I believe Johnson and Lennon could be a frightening partnership down the right flank. Johnson can cut inside and go on the overlap and marking them both will be a nightmare for defences. I wouldnt like to offload Hutton just yet though, i could see it backfiring.

I would welcome hutton back with open arms, but, don't sell our potential top class youngsters. The gers youngsters are our future and from what i have seen and heard about wilson he is an outstanding talent.

Yeh if rangers offered their whole squad plus that, i wouldnt sell hutton for less than £10m and id probably say no then, hes got potential to be one of the best right backs in europe why would redknapp sell him. But i wouldnt sell Corluka either
