Gary Megson has hailed Fabio Capello’s reign as England head coach.

Although his Bolton Wanderers players have missed out on Capello’s latest squad, Megson is encouraged that the national coach is at least watching the Trotters stars.

"I'd like to think that every England manager looked at Bolton. But Capello is certainly getting round the country," stated Megson. "You see him at games.

“I was down at Fulham against Manchester United and he and Franco Baldini knew all about Gary Cahill, Kevin Davies, Matty Taylor, Fabrice Muamba and Mark Davies.

"They were all doing homework on all of them. I'm delighted if I can get any English players into the squad eventually, because it will be great for them individually and also for the club."
