Gomes finally showing his class at Tottenham Hotspur
08:44 PM 23 March, 2009
Heurelho Gomes believes he is finally showing the Tottenham Hotspur Football Club supporters exactly what he is capable of.

The £7.8million summer signing really struggled in England at the start of the season, but he has been impressive of late and was superb against Chelsea on Saturday.

"Making saves like this is why I play football, and I want to be a goalkeeper who wins games for the team," former PSV Eindhoven goalkeeper Gomes told the club's official website.

"I feel like I am playing better than I did before."

He's been one of the best shot stoppers all season, just had 1 or 2 matches in particular where he looked very down on confidence when dealing with the high ball, and that affected the rest of his game. Good to see him back on top of things though

Two of Gomes's reaction saves were world class and won the game for us. Still needs to get organised when coming for crosses and holding on to low shots. Overall great to see everything starting to come to-gether for him.yTFsO7GO
