Steve Gibson accepts Middlesbrough Football Club’s form simply isn’t good enough, but he insists replacing Gareth Southgate is not the answer.
With just eight games remaining Boro are four points adrift of Premier League safety, and one win from their previous 18 games does certainly not impress their chairman.
"One win in 18 is not good enough," Gibson told the Evening Gazette. "But there is a time for investigating what has happened, and it is not now.
"Investigating what has gone wrong in the past will not keep us in the league. We have to focus on the challenge ahead, and then the time for analysis will come in the summer."
