Rochdale hold on in League Two
02:15 PM 30 March, 2009
Rochdale's 2-2 draw with play-off hopefuls Exeter on Saturday keeps them holding onto the third and last automatic promotion place.

Rochdale twice took the lead but a brace from veteran striker Marcus Stewart, the second from the penalty spot, gave the Grecians a share of the spoils.

Rochdale boss Keith Hill wants his team to tighten up their defence, telling the Mancheser Evening News, "In the grand scheme of things it's probably a point gained, but in the context of the match it feels like two points lost. We can't keep conceding stupid goals.

"To concede a penalty within a minute of getting one ourselves was the equivalent of football suicide - and I don't like using that word. We've got to cut out the mistakes because we've conceded far too many goals this season.

"We are scoring enough goals, no question, but we should be winning games like that after taking the lead twice."
